Pame Kaimakli Festival
Pame Kaimakli is an annual neighbourhood arts festival that brings the historic district of Kaimakli in Nicosia to life through art, creativity and community participation. Organised by the non-profit creative organisation Urban Gorillas, the festival transforms streets and shared urban spaces into places for artistic expression, cultural exchange and connection between residents, artists and visitors.
The 2026 edition explores the theme Erga-sies (Co-laborations), celebrating the ideas and creative possibilities that emerge when people work together. This year, the festival moves to the historic Synergasias Street, inviting the public to discover the neighbourhood through collaborative projects, site-specific artworks, performances and activities that encourage participation and interaction.
Rather than taking place in a single venue, Pame Kaimakli unfolds throughout the neighbourhood, using public spaces as a setting for encounters, experimentation and shared experiences. It offers a different way to explore Nicosia, bringing contemporary art into everyday surroundings while highlighting the stories, character and community spirit of Kaimakli.
Whether you are interested in contemporary art, music, creative workshops or discovering local neighbourhoods, Pame Kaimakli offers an opportunity to experience culture in an informal, open and community-focused atmosphere.
